J N J Burger Shack

I had the pleasure of meeting Pete and Fat Bruce Lee from TheBurgerReview.com and they took me to one of their favorite burger joints in LA, J N J Burger Shack. You can read anything you could ever want to know about the burger at J N J (and any other burger in LA) here.

This place is literally a burger shack in Culver City that you would probably never even notice, but I’m really excited that Pete recommended it, and it’s now one of my new favorite Budget Foodie spots.

Single Cheeseburger – $3; add an order of fries and a soda and it’s $6.47 total

Pete explained that what makes this burger great is the sizzling, well-seasoned griddle which made the patty well-seared and crunchy in spots. I just nodded my head as I scarfed it down. Here’s what you need to know: I’d choose this burger over Father’s Office any day. Especially at 25% of the price.

The fries were also delicious. I think I ate them all before this picture was taken.

Apparently J N J also has amazing BBQ, and since Pete is a fellow Kansan, I’ll take his word for it and go back and sample it. (I’m pretty sure nothing will ever beat the taste of my fav BBQ spot though).

  1. BF and I are supposed to be going to Father’s Office next month. We’d seen on TV that their burgers are supposed to be off the chain. You say J&J’s are better AND 1/4 of the price??? This makes my wallet and mouth sad.

Yeah – everyone raves about Fathers Office burgers. I personally like them, but you have to like every single ingredient they put on the burger, because that’s how you’re getting it. No ketchup, no mustard. Sorry folks.

But FO is still worth a trip – and their fries are really good. :)
